2. Quick Facts About Booking Tickets to Hanauma Bay
- The Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday, with entry allowed from 6:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Online reservations can be made via the official website 2 days in advance, starting at 7:00 AM Hawaii Standard Time (HST).
- Tickets are in high demand and are very limited. They can sell out as quickly as 5 minutes after reservations become available at 7:00 AM HST.
3. How to Book Reservations Through Our Website
Booking tickets on our site can be done in three easy steps from page Make a Reservation:
- Specify the number of tickets you wish to reserve.
- Provide the full name of one visitor, contact information (email and phone), and your preferred time slot(s) to visit Hanauma Bay.
- Pay for the ticket fee ($25.59 for each adult; free for children and qualified military personnel) and reservation fee ($11.98 per ticket) via PayPal.
That's it! Once you've completed these steps, there's nothing more you need to do—unless you wish to update or cancel your order. If so, simply log in to our website. You should have received login instructions via email when you placed your first order with us. If you don't have the login email, you can easily reset your password here.
4. I've Placed an Order on Your Website. What's Next?
You should receive an email two days before your best or earliest chosen admission time, informing you of the booking status.
If the reservation is successful, you will receive an email directly from the official online reservation website of Hanauma Bay. This email will include the visitor's name, a confirmation number, admission time, parking information, and other details. Please read the email carefully and bring it, along with a valid ID, when visiting Hanauma Bay. The visitor will need to present these at the entrance.
If we are unable to secure the tickets, we will issue a full refund minus the PayPal transaction fee (approximately 4.2% for international commercial transactions).
5. Cancel Reservations
If you need to cancel your reservation, you can do so yourself by logging in to our website at any time before your tickets have been issued. If you cancel during this period, you will receive a full refund, minus PayPal's transaction fee. For international commercial transactions, this fee is typically around 4.2% of the total payment and is collected directly by PayPal, not by us.
Please note that, according to the policies established by the City and County of Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation, all tickets booked for Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve become non-refundable once they are confirmed. Consequently, no cancellations or refunds can be processed post-confirmation.
6. Change Reservations
You may make changes to your order yourself by logging in to our website at any time until your reservation is successfully booked. These changes are free of charge.
You can make the following changes free of charge: name, phone number, and preferred time slots. However, purchased products and email address cannot be changed by yourself. If you need to change these details, please consider canceling the existing order and placing a new one.
Once your reservation is successfully booked, changes to the date or time, or transferring the reservation to another person, will not be possible.
7. Security
Your payment security is our top priority. All transactions made through our website are processed via PayPal, one of the most trusted and secure payment platforms globally. We do not collect, process, or store any of your payment information on our site.
